Egoist's Missoni dress is love

decided not to buy the Murua Poncho in the previous post
(which was actually sold out as well within 2 days)

favourite Japanese brands at the moment Murua and Egoist
are going to get some lovely new items that i wanted to report
about

first is this cute flare top which comes in the colours
white, black, pink, mix
wonder what mix is but unfortunately Egoist doesn't give
colour samples on it's website

this one is similar in design but caught my eye especially in the
combination with the long camisole one piece which is sold
for 3, 675 yen (hope they got other colours as well) and
printed head accesssoire

onepiece with missoni like zigzag print i like really much
comes in the colours
black, brown, purple, orange
can't wait to see the other colours as well
but the colour on the pictures is surely nice for fall as well

From Today Murua is selling a new version of it's popular
vintage rucksack which was sold out within short time as
many Murua items are.
Personally i like the new one better as it seems bigger
and you can use it also as a shoulderbag /handbag as well

actually I am not a frequent poster of fashion pics of myself
as I don't have much confidence about my own fashion
sense of putting items together. I'm still in a loooong
phase of experimentation after my longtime love for surf
gyaru clothes.
Wish I'd be summer soon for I want don't have to be
wearing leggings or trenka
.

i'd love to afford designer items but most of my stuff
is H&M or Zara or Egoist

Murua denim poncho (buy or no buy?)

I was really looking forward to this unique Murua item getting
into the stores since I saw it in the Murua Newspaper.
Unfortunately I can't see it for myself since I'm in Germany
at the moment...............and probarbly sold out till I get
back...............

Well I wasn't sure if I should buy it anyway since it looked
so lovely in the picture on Momoko (which is very edited)
so the colours are really highlightend.
I would have bought the poncho if the colours were really
like in these pictures

But in real the poncho's colour is a looot more grey and dark

Love the shilouette and the idea of a denim poncho
but the colour....couldn't they have made it lighteer...

So what do you think...........Buy or no buy???

PS: the flower pringt Paggins Momoko is wearing
are love too right?

Situation in Sapporo, Japan

I don't know what to do..................

The situation in Japan is so severe at the moment....

I'm spending all time I can on watching news and observing the
new developments.

Everybody in Germany wants me to go back. I know German
media is reporting a lot more heavy on the situation in Japan
than the Japanese media do. It might be only a cultural mentality
difference, since Germans are easier to panic, as well as they have
the experience of a nuclear cloud 1986. But it might be because
Japanese government lacks information. I do not know.

At the moment I am in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
It is said to be safe as it is 650km from Fukushima. But if the worst
case happens and the Fukushima reactors burst into a nuclear cloud
what guarantees that this cloud might not be blown to Hokkaido?
I don't want my health to be dependent on the wind and weather.
In fact Sapporo measures higher radiation in the last days than usual
though too little too affect health.

I want to go back so much. But I have my Japanese husband here for
who it is difficult to part with his family and leave them.
His famlily thinks it is safe here. I can't believe how calm yet naive they
are. The nuclear bomb already happend in Japan and it is not as bad as
that.
I don't think so! It is as bad as that if not worse. INES scale is 6!!! One
level below Chernobyl that had the scale of 7. The worst case.

The clothes shop I work for doesn't want me to to leave at least till
24th because they have too little staff. My husbands work also
wants him to stay till 24th till they finish their work deadline.
But 24th is still one week away. I don't think Fukushima powerplant
will make it till that when the situation is already as severe as now.

We already had decided to leave together on Sunday but after
speaking with my husbands family they think it's more important
for my husband to finish his work till the deadline 24th.
That's why we didn't buy tickets yets.

I can't stand the pressure anymore.

I do now know what to do. Almost everybody I know has left the
country or at least gone to Osaka.

If i was alone in Japan I would have left already

While I am in a state of frustration everything goes the normal
way in Sapporo. People are just like any days. The shop I work
for has almost no change in customers. I can't believe how
anybody can go shopping for fashion and spring clothes these
days. Don't they watch TV and see the suffering situation in
the refugee camps in Japan where the earthquake survivors
sharing the little food and water they have suffering from
coldness.

My family in Germany is so worried but I can't go alone
without my husband. He is my life now
So much pressure from all sides.
I feel like a bursting bomb myself.
From abyss of despair

SS 2011 Murua + Egoist want items

Recently these items on my top wanting list!!
I'm really getting to like Egoist and Murua this Spring season.

Egoist

Stripe shirt which i want to have in brown or bordeaux

This white cute pullover Rumi Neely had a
photoshooting in
I hate that they choose Elli-Rose for their
lookbook though

This lovely trench coat is going to be in store 3/4 in
Sapporo. I love the assimetric line and the unique
colour

I know wide suede hats are anywhere now but
I really love this trend so this time I don't mind
others wearing it as well.
This shop staff's hair is love!!

This hair is really nice! So natural but cute

Murua

I loved the collabo with Karolina Engmann. It's so good to
see Japanese and Non-Japanese fashion work together.
The pictures in the lookbook for SS 2011 were so nice to look
at and really great quality

What especially cought my eye was this see though
jacket (Sorry bad pic quality bad lightening)

This shirt is really nice too. I hope it comes to stores
soon. Egoist produced a similar one but as from the
pictures Murua's looked better shilouette wise, but have
to see them in real for deciding which to buy

As you can see I'm really in love with the Spring
"blogger look" which is huge in Japan at the moment.
It just suits my personal style so much. It's been long
ago that a trend has cought me that much so I think
I'm gonna buy a lot this season before the "blogger
look" gets out of trend and out of stores, even then I'm
gonna wear it anyway I guess

Macaron and rainbow tulips

Hello,
here I am again since I have three free days this week ( For the weeks

I had one so that still makes 7 free days this month, which i mostly
spend doing laundry and relaxing from work so I didn't have
the power for blogging. Sorry!!!

So I know I'm kind of late buuuuuuut as I love Valentine's day

since I love cooking stuff as well and it's just the occasion for
doing over the top pink cute sweets.
This is what i gave:

made of this:
Macaron set and chocolate pens in pastel colours
which was more difficult to make than i thought
since it was a set. But they turned out quite well i guess

and this: (plus the file and the 2 straps i got for buying
4 meiji chocolate bars for the dinosaurs chocolates

)

They looked kind of flat at the beginning

but after baking and sandwiching them and decorating
they lookes really cute

My man fighting with the snow during me making macarons

and the lovely flowers i got for Valentine
since I don't like waiting till WhiteDay
so I prefer it the Non-Japanese way

Rainbow tulips!!!!

This was my year 2010

Wow it's been such a long time since my last post!!!!
So sorry really!!!!!!!!!

My new job (though it's just a baito) is taking me over
like I have never imagined. There were days especially
during the NewYear's sale when I didn't check my mail

or internet for 6 days because I was just too tired to do
anything beyond coming home, eating, showering.

That's why first of all a very belated

HAPPY NEW YEAR

May all your wishes come true in 2011!!!

2010 has been a really really chaotic year for me
things didn't really turn out as planned, and I feel
as if it was too slow in moving forward. As well
it was a year of a lot travel and change.

This was my year 2010

February: I finally after graduating from university get
to Sapporo for searching a job in the fashion field.
Leaving Duesseldorf with a lot of nostalgic and sad
feeling but with the motivation of challenging new thing

August: After spending a lot time on job search no
result and having go back to Germany because of
visa experiation. Also made the decision with my
my boyfriend to marry after being 3 years together

as it will be a lot easier for us to live in each country
having no problems with the visa issue.

September: Going to Spain with my family for vacation
My boyfriend also directly comes from Sapporo to
Barcelona.

23/9 : Being able to fullfill my boyfriends biggest dream
for his birthday! One day and night in Ibiza with tickets
to Cream at the club Amnesia.

October: Getting back to Germany

09/10: Wedding day with beloved friends and family who
took their way all till South Germany

23/10 : Going back to Sapporo with a lot of motivation for
finding a job

December: Finally after a lot of effort getting a job at KariAng

Though 2010 was quite an exhausting year. I am happy
that i could experience everything i did in this year.

I hope 2011 is gonna bear as much surprises as 2010

Wishing everybody of you an exciting 2011!!!!!!

First days as a shopstaff at KariAng

First of all thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much for all of
your sweet comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really so happy!!!! Thank you really so so so so much!!!!
This gives me a lot of power to continue blogging!!!
♥ ♥ ♥
So since last Thursday i started my job at KariAng
Wow and I have to say it's a lot more complicated to be a
shopstaff than i thought, but at the same time it's also a lot

fun!!!
First thing is that being shop staff is really challenging in
Japan. As i think of the service in clothes or any other shops
in Germany it's suuuuuch a difference!!! Those of you who
have been to Japan know well with what service the customer
"god" is treated in Japan. You really get to feel like a celeb,
especially at KariAng which is aimed at 20-40 women.
Service towards customers is really important because you want
the customer to come again.

---Of course the obligatory "Irrashaimase" (Welcome), and even if
you don't buy anything going out of the shop the customer gets
an "Arigatou gozaimasu" (Thank you so much).

---The keigo (polite Japanese) level is very high as when the
customer comes out of the dressing room you have to say
"otsukaresama de gozaimasu" with a loud voice and of course
in conversation only keigo is allowed

---You have to help the customer with e.g. closing buttons of
jackets for them, helping them go get inside the jacket etc.

----conversation is really a big point as a shopstaff. it's not good if
you don't start a conversation with a customer who even just comes
looking. If she watches or touches some display clothes for a longer
time you have to go there and for example tell something about this
item, about the details, how popular it is, with what other clothes
you can coordinate it and if she wants to try the item on etc.....
Honestly i really have trouble with this point as when I personally
go shopping I find it rather annoying when shopstaff try to involve
me into a conversation just because it's part of their work and just
when looking a little longer at one item. I prefer looking in my
own peace and finding out by myself how to coordinate items.

I really would be interested in your own experience and opinion
with shopping in Japan.
Do you like it when shopstaff involve you into conversation?
Have you had experienced shopstaff that is annoying?

It would be really sooooooo helpful to know your opinions

If you are interested in the place I work of course feel free
to visit the following links.

- KariAng's homepage

-KariAng Sapporo store blog

The interesting thing is that the KariAng designer Morimoto Yoko was a
former charisma shopstaff from Egoist!!!

PS: This time no Japanese version as I'm enjoying the small rest of my
day off lol

Thank you for reading

Short gyaru history of myself

First of all sorry for the lack of update recently!!!
And this time also just a quick blog entry because
yesterday KariAng called me and said that I got
the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sooooooooooo happy cause i finally finally after
a long jobsearch got my first positive reply!!!!

It's been working on my psychic a lot since I've only
gotten negative responses for the past few months and this
just dragged me down so much.

Well, KariAng was honestly saying not really my first
choice at all, but yeah, take what you get! i think
so....as I don't have too much alternatives at the moment
and i really need work and money

As for me, gyaru was always such an inspiration!!!
I've liked gyaru fashion and lifestyle since I was 16 and got my
hands on my first egg magazine 2003.

I was so much in love witht the style from the first moment
It was so different from anything i've seen before especially
from the boring fashion at that time in Germany.

So what i want to say is that Gyaru has been a part of me for
such a long time.
But when i start working at KariAng I guess that I have to say
goodbye a little from this part of myself.
As KariAng is aiming rather at women in their 30s the clothes
are much more subtle and simple then gyaru clothes.
And they also asked me to die my hair a little darker for work.

Though feeling a little nostalgic I don't think it's a bad thing
at all! I hope it might lead to a kind of advance inside myself
which has been stuck for some time i guess.
Anyway since I'm already 24 I can't and also don't want to go
back to the 17 Cocolulu wearing melol
Furthermore as gyaru brands also change a lot it's just been time
I think.
Gyaru brands have changed gradually in the past years, which is a
good thing!

Gyaru is no more the just colourful and outstanding darktan girl from
10-5 years ago. It's been growing so much more mature together with
the girls representing this fashion lifestyle, as a lot of them once just
beeing followers of the style have gotten into the position of producers
themselves.
The ones tropical image of gyaru with the main brands AlbaRosa,
Cocolulu, Tiara and such have had a too big place in my heart I think.
As brands like Emoda, Murua, Rienda ......have gained so much
popluarity as well I also thought that it might be time to make a
change. (the murua store has recently opened in Sapporo)
So why not start this change with a new completly different work

Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Just one day to go to December makes me feel really happy as i just
love
Christmas season. Hate the months after that till spring
though. So since a package arrived from my family in Germany with lots
of sweets and Christmas deco stuff it really made my Christmas mood.
And just the next day after decorating I woke up and everything was so
beautifully covered up with fresh snow!!!

As for today! I'm waiting for the phone call from the Sapporo TV tower people I
had a job interview on Saturday. Hope the call!!!
Suprisingly I also got a phonecall to a jobinterview from "KariAng", which is
actually not a brand i usually wear, but since I'm looking for a fashion related
job i just tried my luck in sending my resumee in.
They have rather simply clothes, which go for a CanCam look

This is the coordinate i wore at the TV tower job interview. I didn't want
to go too much gyaru so i kept the clothes casual and simple.

Saw this cute Totoro character
Makkuro Kurosuke bread in the "Hokuo"
bread store!
And the giant sparkling HelloKitty caught my eye as well though
I'm not really a Kitty fan

Hokuo

And I bought a new shampoo!!! (I've been using "MaCherie" before, but still the
oldline)
Probarbly the most expensive one I've used in my life till now, but it smells just
so amazing that i had to buy it.
And it came in a trial kit with a 250ml shampoo, 250ml treatment/rinse,
2 packages of core treatment for 1995 Yen.
The brand is
La Pudeur
It's a silicon shampoo, which seem to be popular in Japan at the moment as well
as the silicon series from "La Nudie"
.I prefered "La Pudeur"s smell, which is why
i bought it.
My thourgh bleach damaged hair felt really smooth after using it so I'm curious
how it works after trying it for some weeks

La Pudeur♥

And last but not least today's Bentou nothing that special but consisting of
Ginger Pork
sesame carrot salad
Brokkoli and chinacabbets tsukemono
kinpira gobou
